Anchor Academy
an initiative of Chester Bridge Foundation, Inc. (CBFI)
A Public Charter High School for Baltimore City located in Brooklyn & Curtis Bay
focusing on marine trades, commercial maritime, and international transportation & logistics
Efforts are currently underway for the development and opening in 2008 of a new and innovative public charter high school in Baltimore City. The school will focus on ensuring students accomplish three objectives:
- have a successful educational experience
- prepare for future career or post-secondary education opportunities
Along with a rigorous academic curriculum for students interested in pursuing college, the school's programs will also include comprehensive workforce training to prepare students for rewarding futures in marine trades, commercial maritime, or international transportation and logistics.
The Brooklyn and Curtis Bay community is the intended home of the charter high school offering an alternative educational choice to students throughout Baltimore City. The planned school will share a facility with other post-secondary workforce training programs, thereby maximizing the use of facility resources and student training opportunities.
